Kitchen Tip- Flash Freezing
Trying to freeze the last of the Summer or Fall produce?
The best way to freeze vegetables is to use the ‘flash freezing’ method. Lay the vegetables in a single layer on a cookie sheet, covered with parchment paper. Be careful not to crowd the vegetables or they will stick together. Once the vegetables are frozen (after a couple hours), remove the sheet and pour its contents into a labelled Ziplock bag. This will ensure that your produce will not freeze together, and you can easily pull out whatever quantities you want to use in the future.
